Professional Massage Training Program Students enrolling in the professional program will complete 600 hours of formal training in massage therapy. Students attend class one full day (7 hours) per week for about 18 months. Homework and practice sessions outside of class will also require about 6 hours per week. With instructor approval, two modules may be taken together, and transfer credit may be given for related training. A Module format is used for group learning conceptsFundamentals of Massage Module Anatomy and Physiology for Bodyworkers Module Yang Therapies Module Yin Therapies Module Business, Ethics, & Marketing Module Experiential Module Review Board and Massage Demonstration Module

Natural Health CoursesHerbology ~ An introduction to commonly used herbs. Topics to be discussed include standardization, indications and contraindications an folklore.Aromatherapy ~ Everyone's favorite. The history of essential oils, how they are produced, how they work on the body, natural vs. synthetic, and an introduction to many well known oils are all discussed. Lab time will allow students to experiment with oils and make their own blends. Energy Work ~ The Chakra System will be introduced from a Western perspective. Polarity, Reiki and Chakra Balancing will be demonstrated. Homeopathy ~ Home and First Aid use of the most common homeopathic remedies will be discussed. A history of homeopathic and allopathic medicine will be highlighted. Understanding of homeopathic laws and preparations of remedies will also be presented.
